A glamorous French Riviera revival is coming to The Berkeley, with a scheduled opening in January 2025. Following in the footsteps of their successful ventures in Cannes and Monte Carlo, La Môme London promises to be a lavish experience. The restaurant will take over the space long occupied by Marcus Wareing for over two decades. French chefs and brothers Ugo and Antoine Lecorché will present their signature Mediterranean dishes, prepared and served with flair right before diners to enhance the dramatic experience. Enjoy cocktails at the bar or unwind on The Berkeley terrace for a taste of French Riviera elegance in the heart of Knightsbridge.

Rockfish, Lyme Regis

After 16 successful years, Mark Hix’s iconic The Oyster & Fish House will close its doors, making way for Mitch Tonks’ new venture, Rockfish, at the same prime location with stunning views over Lyme Regis harbour. Though the concept is shifting, there’s no rivalry between these long-time friends. Rockfish will continue the tradition of serving freshly caught, seasonal fish, with a strong commitment to supporting local fishermen. Keep an eye out for special guest chef evenings, where Hix himself will return to cohost.

Simpson’s in the Strand, a Covent Garden institution since 1828, originally started as a chess house serving classic British fare and became a beloved spot for figures like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Dickens, Churchill, and Hepburn. After struggling in recent years and several failed attempts at reinvention, the iconic restaurant temporarily closed, leaving many wondering if it would ever return. Enter restaurateur Jeremy King, who’s set to breathe new life into the legendary venue. He’ll reopen Simpson’s as a grand, theatrical brasserie in early 2025, complete with private dining rooms, multiple bars open late, and his own spin on the restaurant’s storied traditions.
