Taking place for the third consecutive year, The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 were unveiled during a ceremony at Old Billingsgate in London on 30 October – with Rosewood Hong Kong taking top honours, and Asia dominating the list with 20 of the 50 top hotels.
Following a vigorous selection process by more than 800 travel experts from around the world, the awards serve as a global benchmark – spotlighting destinations that deliver transformative experiences and redefine guest experience.

While Hong Kong is no stranger to world-class hotels, Rosewood Hong Kong’s sheer size, elegant suites, jaw-dropping city and harbour views, outstanding restaurants, and expansive wellness retreat, catapulted the group’s flagship hotel to the top of the list.

Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River came in second place, with Capella Bangkok rounding off the triumvirate – cementing Asia’s reputation as a destination that effortlessly merges local culture and authenticity with innovation and world-class facilities.

The remaining top 10 list proved to be a tour around the world. Previous winner Passalacqua in Lake Como clinched the Best Hotel in Europe spot at No. 4, with another Asian standout, Raffles Singapore, at No. 5, and Dubai’s Atlantis The Royal leading the Middle Eastern contingent at No. 6. The list zig-zagged back to Asia with Mandarin Oriental Bangkok at No.7, before taking a detour to Mexico, where Chablé Yucatán won Best Hotel in North America at No.8. Another Italian standout, Four Seasons Firenze, and serene hideaway Upper House Hong Kong rounded off the top group at No.9 and No.10 respectively.
